Miles Sanders Won't Need Surgery
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles rookie running back Miles Sanders (knee) was wearing a brace on his left knee and was on crutches after getting injured in the wild-card loss to the Seahawks on Sunday, but he said he will not need offseason surgery. The 22-year-old was really impressive in his first year in the league, rushing 179 times for 818 yards (4.6 yards per carry) and three rushing scores. He added 50 receptions for 509 yards and three more touchdowns as he took over the backfield around midseason when Jordan Howard (shoulder) was injured. With Howard a free agent, Sanders should be the leader of this backfield in his sophomore season. His arrow is pointing up as an RB2 for the 2020 season.
