Miles Sanders Unlikely To Play In Preseason
1 year agoCarolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich said that there's a good chance that running back Miles Sanders (groin) won't play in any preseason games. However, Reich thinks that Sanders is progressing from his injury. "I think we're getting close," Reich said. Sanders won't play in the second preseason game against the New York Giants on Friday, but the 26-year-old should be ready for the start of the regular season in Week 1. The Panthers aren't taking any chances with their primary RB, especially with not much experience behind him in Chuba Hubbard and Raheem Blackshear, among others. Sanders is in a much less explosive offense than the one he was in in Philadelphia, but he's expected to see more volume in Carolina in 2023, putting him on the RB2 map in fantasy.
