Colorado Avalanche right wing Mikko Rantanen finished pointless for the first time since Nov. 16 on Monday in a 4-1 loss to the Islanders. The league's leading scorer saw his linemates Nathan MacKinnon and Gabriel Landeskog pick up power-play points, but he himself failed to record any points for only the sixth time this season. Rantanen was on a 14-game point streak before Monday, which was tied for the third-longest such run by an Avalanche player since the club relocated to Denver in 1995-96. 30 of his 56 points came during the streak. Rantanen has gone pointless in back-to-back games just once this season, so look for a really strong bounce-back effort from him in Wednesday's matchup with the Habs.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
