Mike Trout Transferred To 60-Day Injured List
3 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels moved outfielder Mike Trout (calf) to the 60-day injured list on Monday. Manager Joe Maddon said that Trout is progressing well and began swinging a bat in the cage on Monday. The superstar outfielder is more than 50 percent healed, but the Angles already didn't expect him to return before the All-Star break, so the move to the 60-day injured list doesn't change much. Trout has missed the last six weeks and will not be eligible to return until July 17. Fantasy managers must continue to stay patient with the 29-year-old, who was hitting .333/.466/.624 with a 1.090 OPS, eight home runs, 23 runs scored, 18 RBI and two steals at the time of his injury. Juan Lagares has been manning center field in Trout's absence, but he's a defense-first player that doesn't offer much offensively.
