Mike Ford Goes Yard
Mike Ford swatted his third home run of the season in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Chicago White Sox. White Sox reliever Matt Foster hung a breaking ball to Ford in the sixth inning, and the Yankee first baseman got every bit of it, sending it 447 feet into the right-field seats at an exit velocity of 105.7 MPH. After a brutal 1-for-24 stretch to start May, Ford is now 4-for-8 with a pair of runs scored and a home run in his last three games played. He still has just a .617 OPS on the season and can be avoided by fantasy managers, especially with Luke Voit back in the picture.
