Mike Davis Should Be Active In Red Zone
5 years agoChicago Bears running back Mike Davis is enjoying a quiet, workman-like approach to his first training camp with the Bears. Davis did not play a snap in the Bears preseason loss to the Giants but none of the starters came within one yard of the field. Rookie David Montgomery has impressed coaches early on but will have to continue to improve to earn the trust to become a starter. This opens the door for Davis who, in a shared backfield in Seattle last season, ranked 32 among NFL running backs with 21 touches in the red zone. Davis racked up 93 red zone yards last season, more than the Packers Aaron Jones, the Jaguars Leonard Fournette or the Dolphins Kenyan Drake. Davis' current ADP represents great value for a player that should make an impact early on in the regular season.
