Mike Clevinger Taking The Hill Thursday
12 months agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Mike Clevinger will get the start for Thursday's game against Brady Singer and the Kansas City Royals. The 32-year-old will look to get on track, as he's pitched to a 4.84 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, and 20.6% strikeout rate with two wins across seven starts so far. Those numbers are a far cry from Clevinger's first five seasons in the bigs when he posted a 3.19 ERA and 27.3% strikeout rate with the Cleveland Guardians and San Diego Padres. The right-hander has lost almost all of his value during the last two campaigns, and fantasy managers should feel safe dropping him for a higher-upside arm on the waiver wire in most leagues.
