The St. Louis Cardinals will call up pitching prospect Michael McGreevy, who will make a spot start against the Texas Rangers on Wednesday. McGreevy, the team's first-round pick in the 2021 draft and the team's 15th-ranked prospect by MLB Pipeline, is 5-7 with a 4.45 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in 20 starts with Triple-A Memphis, striking out 96 and walking 36 in 109 1/3 innings. The Cards will bring up McGreevy as they are playing 16 straight games and wanted to make sure the rotation got an extra day of rest. However, they will go with a six-man rotation once.
