Michael Carter, Denzel Mims Good To Go
New York Jets rookie running back Michael Carter and wide receiver Denzel Mims (hip) aren't listed on the official injury report ahead of Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers. Carter, a fourth-round pick, missed some training camp practices with an undisclosed injury and finished on a low note in the preseason after some early hype. Carter is expected to have a role in the season-opener, but just how big of a role is anyone's guess. Veteran Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson will also be involved in what is likely to be a committee approach, at least early in the season. As a result, none of the three backs are all that intriguing in fantasy until we have a better picture of how the touches will be divided up. Mims is healthy to start the year, but playing time will be a concern with Jamison Crowder, Corey Davis and second-rounder Elijah Moore ahead of him. Mims should be on the waiver wire in standard-sized leagues to begin 2021.
