Michael Carter, Denzel Mims Good To Go
3 years agoNew York Jets rookie running back Michael Carter and wide receiver Denzel Mims (hip) aren't listed on the official injury report ahead of Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers. Carter, a fourth-round pick, missed some training camp practices with an undisclosed injury and finished on a low note in the preseason after some early hype. Carter is expected to have a role in the season-opener, but just how big of a role is anyone's guess. Veteran Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson will also be involved in what is likely to be a committee approach, at least early in the season. As a result, none of the three backs are all that intriguing in fantasy until we have a better picture of how the touches will be divided up. Mims is healthy to start the year, but playing time will be a concern with Jamison Crowder, Corey Davis and second-rounder Elijah Moore ahead of him. Mims should be on the waiver wire in standard-sized leagues to begin 2021.
