Michael Brantley Ends First Half With Two Hits
3 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Michael Brantley went 2-for-4 in the Astros come-from-behind win over the Yankees on Sunday. The veteran came into the game stuck in a 4-for-23 slump but ended his first half with a pair of hits. Brantley is hitting only .219 in the month of July but, once again, has been an integral offensive cog for a potent Houston lineup. Brantley will head into the All-Star break slashing .326/.372/.475 with two triples, five home runs, 23 doubles, 31 runs batted in and 42 runs scored through 69 games played thus far.
