Michael A. Taylor Homers In Second-Straight Game
4 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Michael A. Taylor went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 7-5 loss to the Detroit Tigers. The home run was his fifth of the year and it was his second-straight game with a long ball. Taylor's had a decent year so far. Over 39 games, he's slashing .248/.307/.380 with five home runs, four stolen bases, 15 RBI and 16 runs. He certainly has potential to be a solid power/speed asset, but he's been buried in the Royals' lineup, typically hitting in the lower-third of the lineup, which greatly limits his fantasy upside. He also has a concerning 32.1% strikeout rate on the year. Taylor can be left on waivers in just about all leagues at this point, but he's worth monitoring for deep league managers.
