Mets Send Gerson Bautista To Triple-A
7 years agoIn a corresponding move with the activation of reliever Anthony Swarzak, the New York Mets have optioned reliever Gerson Bautista to Triple-A Las Vegas. Making his Major League debut this season, Bautista certainly did not endear himself to the organizations in his short stint. Across 4 1/3 innings pitched, the right-hander allowed six earned runs on eight hits and five walks with only three strikeouts. He wasn’t much better in the minor leagues prior to his call-up, as Bautista had a 4.82 ERA across 9 1/3 innings pitched with Double-A Binghamton and a 6.97 ERA in 10 1/3 innings pitched for Triple-A Las Vegas. Bautista isn’t worth any sort of fantasy consideration in any league.
