Melvin Gordon III Salvages Day With Six Receptions
4 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon did very little on the ground (eight carries, 26 yards) in a revenge game against his former team, the Los Angeles Chargers, in the Week 8 win. But he was able to somewhat salvage his fantasy stat line with six receptions on seven targets for 21 yards. Fantasy managers won't be able to count on Gordon seeing that much work in the passing game moving forward, though, as Denver had to throw often to complete the comeback after being down multiple scores throughout the game. With backfield mate Phillip Lindsay overshadowing Gordon the last two weeks on the ground, the former Charger could lose even more touches in the coming weeks. He'll be more of an RB3 in the Week 9 matchup against the Falcons.
