Melvin Gordon III Draws Another Questionable Tag
3 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III (hip) is listed as questionable yet again heading into a Week 6 matchup with the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders. Gordon sat out of practice on Wednesday before returning to limited sessions Thursday and Friday, so he appears to have a good chance of playing on Sunday despite dealing with a new injury this week. The 28-year-old has seen a season-low 11 touches in back-to-back weeks while continuing to share time almost directly down the middle with rookie Javonte Williams. Gordon is averaging 5.0 yards per carry the last two weeks, but Williams has remained more efficient and explosive out of the backfield. The Raiders present a nice opportunity for Denver on the ground, but Gordon will remain a touchdown-dependent, low-end RB2 as long as he continues to split this backfield.
