Max Homa Looks For More Team-Golf Magic To End A Disappointing Season On High Note
3 months agoIt was a season to mostly forget for Max Homa. He had a run of good finishes early that peaked with a T3 The Masters, but things turned sour for the 33-year-old soon after as he only had two other finishes inside the top 25 the rest of the season. Perhaps the most puzzling issue is that his poor play can't be attributed to one or two areas, as he ranked outside the top 100 in strokes gained putting (-0.080) and off the tee (-0.447). Lucky for him, nothing gets a player fired up to find his game more than team competition, and, after getting the pick from U.S. Presidents Cup Captain, Jim Furyk, Homa will undoubtedly represent the heart and soul of the American squad given his 5-1-1 record over his two previous appearances in both the Presidents and Ryder Cups. It's the perfect opportunity to gain some much-needed confidence to close out 2024.
