Maverick McNealy finished T45 at last week's Wyndham Championship and seems to have improved after missing the cut in back-to-back events last month. McNealy will be focusing on preparing for the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind this week, where he finished T31 in 2022. One noteworthy point is that McNealy ranks in the 13th percentile in greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairways, and over 42% of his approach shots came from this distance at last year's FedEx St. Jude Championship. McNealy has been performing well, but there is some risk involved in including him in DFS lineups this week.--Ian Christenson - RotoBaller

Maverick McNealy's 2025 season has been predominantly solid. He has four top-10 finishes and has only missed two cuts in 10 starts. After a rough stretch in Florida where he missed the cut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and THE PLAYERS, he bounced back in last week's Valero Texas Open with a T-3 finish. His play from tee to green has been solid with a 0.327 strokes gained per round in that department. Where he has struggled has been his play around the green, where he averages -0.318 strokes gained per round, which ranks 158th on tour. It's hard to trust him, having success this week at ANGC with no prior experience, and he should be viewed as a dark horse at best in DFS.--Jake Walker - RotoBaller

Maverick McNealy finished tied for 32nd at last week's Texas Children's Houston Open and is now focusing on preparing for this week's Valero Texas Open, which will take place at TPC San Antonio. This marks a positive turnaround for McNealy, as he had missed the cut in his previous two events before the Houston Open. Last year, he finished T58 at the Valero Texas Open. In the past 12 months, McNealy has ranked in the 80th percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from over 200 yards in the fairway. This is noteworthy because, during last year's Valero Texas Open, over 28% of approach shots came from this distance. As a result, McNealy could be a solid addition to DFS lineups this week.--Ian Christenson - RotoBaller

Maverick McNealy had a very nice 2025 to start. However, the American golfer has missed the cut in his previous two events. Worse, the Florida type of weather most are used to seeing is expected in Texas for Thursday and Friday perhaps. It is strange that McNealy took a few weeks off after the Genesis Invitational and everything skewed off. Seeing two second rounds of 80 or worse is rare but it happened. The greens should be slow for most if not all four rounds. McNealy stands at +5000 on DraftKings but it is hard to be sure of even what to expect from a DFS standpoint. For what it is worth, the last two events have thrown several main metrics off kilter. It may be best to see how McNealy performs first at the Texas Children's Houston Open.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

Maverick McNealy missed the cut at last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational and will now focus on preparing for The PLAYERS Championship, held at TPC Sawgrass. Before his missed cut, McNealy had recorded three top-10 finishes in seven starts this season. Historically, he has performed well at The PLAYERS Championship, finishing tied for ninth in 2024, T60 in 2023, and T46 in 2022. Over the past 12 months, McNealy ranks in the 58th percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from 100-150 yards in the fairway. This is important, as over 32% of approach shots at last year's tournament came from this distance. McNealy may go overlooked this week, but he could be a valuable addition to DFS lineups.--Ian Christenson - RotoBaller
