5 years agoDetroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia is calling quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) week-to-week. Stafford has missed the last two games and is in danger of missing up to a month more with tiny fractures in his spine. His practice statuses in the upcoming weeks will give us a better idea of how close he is to returning, but you shouldn't expect a return in Week 12 against the Redskins. It's a shame, too, as Stafford was having one of the best seasons of his career before the injury. Jeff Driskel hasn't looked bad filling in for Stafford the last two weeks and will have QB2 upside in a mouthwatering matchup with Washington this Sunday.
