Matthew Boyd Tagged For Five Runs On Tuesday
4 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd was hit hard in Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. He pitched 4 2/3 innings and gave up five hits, including three home runs, on the way to allowing a total of five earned runs. He walked three batters and recorded four strikeouts. Luckily, the Tigers scored 10 runs so he wasn't tagged with a loss. Boyd has been unravelling lately. He has now allowed at least four earned runs in each of his last four starts. He had a 2.27 ERA in April, but his season-long ERA is now 3.90. He can be left on waivers in all fantasy leagues at this point. His next start will be on Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners.
