Matt Strahm To Be Activated On Tuesday
Matt Strahm (knee) is expected to be activated from the IL before Tuesday's tilt with the Oakland Athletics. After undergoing offseason knee surgery, the left-hander had fanned seven over 3 ⅔ frames in a rehab assignment at Triple-A. With a starting rotation in flux, Strahm's return will bolster the Friars pitching depth and he should assume various roles in high leverage and long relief. The 29-year-old has been a stalwart for the Friars the past three seasons, appearing in 106 games while registering a 3.66 ERA and 9.2 K/9. He's a flyer pickup in holds formats for ratio support and a handful of rogue victories, but isn't a fantasy option in standard leagues.
