Matt Manning Likely To Make Next Start With Tigers
Matt Manning (biceps, shoulder) had a strong rehab outing at Triple-A on Wednesday. He pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out six. It's been a long rehab journey for Manning, who last pitched in the majors in mid-April. However, it's likely that his next start will be with the Tigers. Manning was initially sent to the injured list with shoulder tightness, but he had his first rehab stint paused due to biceps tendonitis. The 24-year-old has made 20 starts in the majors over the past two years and he's gone 4-7 with a 5.50 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP.
