5 years agoOakland Athletics manager Bob Melvin said that third baseman Matt Chapman (head) is OK after being hit in the head by a pitch on Wednesday and that he won't go through the concussion protocol despite getting "a little blurry there." That sounds like a good reason to put one of your best players through tests, but Chapman's fantasy owners are just thankful he avoided a serious injury here. After going hitless Wednesday, Chapman is hitting .259/.344/.528 with 30 homers, 85 runs and 74 RBI on the year. He's one of the best all-around third basemen in the game and is a must-start in all formats, but don't be surprised if the A's keep him out the next game or two.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
