On Tuesday, New York Islanders forward Mathew Barzal signed an eight-year contract at $9.15 million annually to remain an Islander. Last season Barzal like his teammates, had a disappointing season. New York missed the playoffs, and Barzal only scored 15 goals, a career low. However, the new contract for the British Columbia native should motivate him to get back to where he was in 2020-2021, where he logged 45 points in 55 regular season contests. Fantasy managers expect Barzal to have a rebound season and to be slotted at center on the team's second line.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
