Masyn Winn Homers in Win; Signs of Growth Emerging
Masyn Winn launched his seventh home run of the season in Tuesday’s 8-7 win over the Chicago Cubs. The blast came in the third inning off Jameson Taillon—a two-run shot on a 79.9 mph slider. Winn also added a double, finishing 2-for-4 with two additional RBI and another run scored. The 23-year-old is slashing .256/.324/.391 with a .715 OPS and .317 wOBA and is showing modest improvement in his third year. His walk rate is up slightly from last season at 8.3 percent. If Winn can make more consistent contact to pair with his elite glove, he could develop into a long-term impact player.
