Mason Rudolph Will Remain Starter In Week 17
12 months agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph will draw his second consecutive start in Week 17 versus the Seattle Seahawks, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. Pittsburgh has started three different quarterbacks this season with subpar results. Second-year quarterback Kenny Pickett has taken most of Pittsburgh's reps at quarterback but hasn't played since Week 13 due to an ankle injury. Mitch Trubisky replaced Pickett but was eventually benched due to poor performance. That prompted Pittsburgh to roll out Rudolph for last Saturday's game against the Bengals. He led the Steelers to an upset victory, completing 17 passes for 290 yards, two touchdowns, and zero turnovers. It's worth noting that even if Pickett is cleared to play this week, Rudolph will start. The starting job is his to lose with two weeks left in the regular season and Pittsburgh still in the playoff hunt.
