Mason Rudolph Wanted More First-Team Reps

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph made it clear that he wanted to take more first-team reps in the preseason. "I think it's kind of in the rearview mirror now. would've liked to have had more first-team reps, but decisions are made. I'm moving forward." For context, the Steelers favored starter Mitch Trubisky in camp and also named rookie Kenny Pickett the starter over the disgruntled Rudolph. "I'm a much better player than I was Year 1 to Year 5," he said. "I'm confident in myself and happy with myself when I did get the reps. I'm going to do whatever I'm asked to do. Other than that, I guess I'll just kind of hold the clipboard." Rudolph drew trade interest in August but was never dealt. Instead, he remains the Steelers' No. 3 quarterback and should be left on waivers in all fantasy leagues.
