Marvin Jones, Michael Roberts Miss Practice Again
Detroit Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones (knee) and tight end Michael Roberts (shoulder) both missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday. It's not a good sign for either player, but they could still play if they get in a practice on Friday. Jones' owners must formulate a backup plan just in case he can't play because of a bone bruise. If he's inactive, it'll mean bigger roles for Kenny Golladay and TJ Jones against the Panthers. If Roberts is inactive, Luke Willson will also see a bigger role in the passing game, although he'd remain more of a desperation TE2. Running back Theo Riddick, who has 13 catches in the last two games, could also see a decent-sized target share if Jones is out.
