Detroit Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones (knee) and tight end Michael Roberts (shoulder) both missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday. It's not a good sign for either player, but they could still play if they get in a practice on Friday. Jones' owners must formulate a backup plan just in case he can't play because of a bone bruise. If he's inactive, it'll mean bigger roles for Kenny Golladay and TJ Jones against the Panthers. If Roberts is inactive, Luke Willson will also see a bigger role in the passing game, although he'd remain more of a desperation TE2. Running back Theo Riddick, who has 13 catches in the last two games, could also see a decent-sized target share if Jones is out.--Keith Hernandez
