Carolina Hurricanes right wing Martin Necas scored the game-winning goal in a second consecutive contest and had two goals in total as the team sunk the Sharks 5-4 in overtime Friday. Necas sent the game to overtime with a goal just 12 seconds from the end of regulation and scored 55 seconds into the extra frame. The Czech winger now boasts four goals in four games and has lit the lamp 21 times in total this season. Across 48 outings, Necas has also tallied 23 assists with 160 shots.
