Marquez Valdes-Scantling Expected To Play Thursday
3 years agoThe current expectation is that Green Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring) will be activated from Injured Reserve and play on Thursday night against the Arizona Cardinals, according to a source. It's good news with both Davante Adams and Allen Lazard, the team's top two receivers, unlikely to play this week after they were placed on the COVID-19 list. However, Valdes-Scantling hasn't played since Week 3 and has only six catches on 16 targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in his three games played this year, so don't expect him to have a huge role on offense despite the Packers being short-handed at the position Thursday night. Randall Cobb, Equanimeous St. Brown and rookie Amari Rodgers figures to play mostly in three-receiver sets.
