Washington Wizards guard Marcus Smart (illness) will not return to the lineup on Monday against the Portland Trail Blazers. There was initially hope that he could be back after missing one game due to an illness, but the team has downgraded Smart's status from questionable to out. Fellow veterans Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) and Corey Kispert (thumb) are also sidelined for Monday's game, putting rookies Kyshawn George, Bub Carrington, and AJ Johnson in a position to eat up as many minutes as they can.--Taavi Pailk
