Marc Staal Moves To Philadelphia
1 year agoVeteran defenseman Marc Staal has signed a one-year, $1.1 million contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. After spending his first 13 NHL seasons with the New York Rangers, Staal is on the move for a third time in as many years, having had brief stints with Detroit and Florida. He played in all 82 regular-season games last season, posting 15 points, 122 blocks, and 152 hits with a plus-10 rating. Staal has been a reliable blue-liner throughout his career, but his lack of offensive stats should keep him as a free agent in most fantasy leagues.
