Malik Monk Piles Up 30 Points Off The Bench
2 years agoSacramento Kings shooting guard Malik Monk came off the pine to nearly outscore the Suns' bench all on his own in Monday's 122-117 loss, notching a season-high 30 points on 12-for-17 shooting. The Suns' bench combined for 32 points. Monk shot 2-for-5 from downtown and even got close to a double-double, handing out eight assists with three turnovers. His defensive work included one steal in 30 minutes. This was a red-hot shooting night from the 24-year-old, and Monk has now delivered at least 26 points in half of his last six games. He is also averaging 4.5 assists for the month, so the Lakers misfit has become a very valuable piece for Sacramento and his fantasy stock should continue to trend upward.
