Luke Weaver's Sixth Save Cements Role In Yankees' Late-Inning Formula
Luke Weaver recorded his sixth save of the season in Tuesday’s 5-2 win over the Texas Rangers. The 31-year-old has been nearly untouchable this season, allowing just one run across 20 2/3 innings of work. Weaver owns a dominant 0.44 ERA, 0.58 WHIP and has tallied 22 strikeouts. He is 6-for-7 in save opportunities and has also added six holds. His expected batting average of .157 ranks in the 100th percentile across Major League Baseball. Weaver and the Yankees will look to maintain their strong start as the midseason push continues.
