Luke Clanton Possesses Strong Potential at Detroit Golf Club
It was a ho-hum week in Cromwell for Luke Clanton, who finished T34 after posting rounds of 67-72-68-70. It was just his second event since turning professional at the beginning of the month, so he's still adjusting to the lifestyle change from a college athlete to a professional one. He comes to this week's Rocket Classic with knowledge of his T10 at this event last summer, which had him in the thick of things until the final day. On paper, the former Seminole fits the mold for being able to bomb and gouge their way around. The 21-year-old is consistently over 310 yards off the tee and has established a 4.53 par-5 scoring average. If the putting and short game don't kill him, he is a fine DFS play.
