Luis Rengifo Leaves With Light-Headedness On Wednesday
8 months agoLos Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo (illness) was removed from Wednesday's win over the Miami Marlins early after feeling light-headed. Before leaving the contest, Rengifo went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a strikeout out of the leadoff spot. Rookie first baseman Nolan Schanuel entered in place of Rengifo, who was likely dealing with dehydration. The good news for Rengifo is that the Angels have a day off on Thursday before returning home on Friday to face the visiting Boston Red Sox for a three-game series this weekend. Hopefully, the off day will allow Rengifo to come into Friday's game feeling 100 percent. However, Wednesday's start was only his second on the season with Anthony Rendon playing third and Brandon Drury starting at second most of the time in the early going.
