7 months agoSan Diego Padres pitching prospect Luis Patino was promoted to Double-A on Wednesday. The 19-year-old rattled off a 2.69 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 11.7 K/9 in 87 High-A innings to rightfully earn the promotion. Patino, the team’s No. 4 prospect, has progressed swiftly since beginning his pro career in 2017. Patino will join fellow starter MacKenzie Gore, the team’s No. 1 prospect, in Amarillo to probably finish the season. The Padres have struggled to find consistency in their pitching staff in 2019 so the roadmap for Patino and Gore could be accelerated. The future is near; both Gore and Patino deserve serious dynasty consideration.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
