7 months agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Lou Trivino will likely be unavailable the next couple of games, as he's listed as day-to-day with a thumb injury on his pitching hand. The right-hander suffered the injury playing catch before the game on Sunday and was wearing a protective covering on his right thumb on Monday. He doesn't expect to go on the 10-day injured list, however. The 27-year-old was excellent in 2018 and is 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA and 0.55 WHIP in 12 appearances this year. Trivino has 16 strikeouts and one walk in 12 2/3 innings and is useful in deeper leagues for his ratios despite not being the team's closer.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
