Lorenzo Cain Likely To Return On Next Road Trip

Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell shed some light on the timing of injured outfielder Lorenzo Cain's (quadriceps) return to the lineup. Point blank, the Brewers skipper said, "You're going to see him on the road trip." While this statement does not rule out a potential return prior to the road trip kicking off Monday, May 3 in Philadelphia, it does lock in the latest possible date (barring any setbacks) for the speedy Cain to return. Struggling through his first week of games before going on the injured list, Cain's .637 OPS and 70 OPS+ would mark the lowest of his career in as many at-bats. At age 35, Cain's best days are behind him, but he can still offer value to fantasy squads. However, managers may want to opt for a wait-and-see approach with getting Cain back into their lineups upon his return.
