Logan Allen Being Skipped In Rotation
6 months agoThe Cleveland Guardians will start right-hander Nick Sandlin in their game on Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals, while left-hander Logan Allen will be available out of the bullpen. Right-hander Tanner Bibee will start on Thursday in the series finale against KC. Sandlin, who has never started a game in four years in the big leagues, will be an opener and won't really be in play in fantasy as a streamer. The 27-year-old has pitched well this year out of the bullpen, though, sporting a 2.77 ERA and 0.77 WHIP with a save and 29 strikeouts in 26 innings of work. It makes sense why the Guardians wouldn't want to roll out Allen against their division rivals. In his last outing against the Colorado Rockies, the 25-year-old southpaw allowed seven earned runs in just 1 2/3 innings to raise his season ERA to 5.83 in 12 starts.
