6 years agoNew York Rangers goaltender Alexandar Georgiev allowed seven goals on 39 shots as the Rangers fell to the Hurricanes on Sunday night. Georgiev's first game of the 2018-19 season will be remembered for all of the wrong reasons, including a minor penalty for tripping. If there was a bright spot to his night, it was that he stopped nine of nine shots from the Carolina power-play, neutralizing their man-advantage attack until an empty net goal sealed the game. Despite posting a .918 save percentage in very limited usage last season, Georgiev will be a risky option at best when he gets an occasional start.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
