During the 66th running of the Daytona 500, Ryan Blaney was in sixth place when a wreck involving 23 cars ended his day. While not his fault, the accident proved to be a major setback for both the reigning Cup Series champion and the 45% of DFS players that rostered him on DraftKings. After winning stage two, which he earned on a late pass in the final moments of the stage, it was clear his team had a good strategy for Monday's race. Had Blaney not been the unfortunate victim of an unnecessary wreck, he certainly would have been in the DraftKings winning lineup, particularly when you consider the positive place differential he was offering. Nevertheless, despite finishing the race in 30th place, the No. 12 showed he is a threat to repeat as champion in 2024 and is a drive that has to be on our radar when building our DFS lineups moving forward.--Adam Erhardt - RotoBaller
