Landon Young Expected To Have Season-Ending Surgery
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints rookie offensive tackle Landon Young (foot) is expected to undergo season-ending foot surgery, according to a source. Young made his first NFL start in the Week 11 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at left tackle and played over a half after suffering the injury on Sunday. The 24-year-old was officially placed on Injured Reserve on Tuesday. The sixth-rounder was forced into action because of injuries to both of the team's starting left tackles, Terron Armstead (knee, shoulder) and Ryan Ramczyk (knee). There's no guarantee that one of them will be ready for Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills, although Ramczyk has been limited in practice this week. On top of those injuries, left guard Andrus Peat is out with a long-term pectoral injury. Against a strong Bills defense, New Orleans' patchwork offensive line will be a point of emphasis.
