Lance McCullers Jr. Grateful To Be Back On Mound
4 years agoHouston Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. expressed his gratitude to be back playing the game he loves after allowing only one run in five innings in his final tune-up start on Monday. McCullers missed the entire 2019 season after Tommy John surgery and is eager to get back on the mound and contribute. The 26-year-old went 10-6 with a 3.86 ERA in 2018 and was a key contributor to the Astros' World Series Championship. McCullers has the talent and stuff to be a mid-rotation starter, but fantasy owners should tread cautiously when selecting him. The right-handed starter's value is better suited to the later rounds in most standard formats.
