LaMonte Wade Jr. On The Bench Sunday
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman LaMonte Wade Jr. is taking a seat on the bench Sunday for the matchup with the Miami Marlins. The lefty swinger has been solid with the bat, slashing .260/.428/.480 with seven bombs, 21 runs, 15 RBI, and one steal across 43 games. Wade Jr. isn't in a platoon, but it's a good time to give him a day off with southpaw Jesus Luzardo on the bump, considering his .222 average off of lefties. Wilmer Flores will be responsible for first base duties and bat lead-off instead. The 31-year-old has continued his underrated production this year, hitting .248 with six long balls through 35 contests. Flores kills left-handed pitching, exhibited by his .876 OPS, so it's a perfect time to stream the former New York Met.
