Lamar Miller 2020 Outlook: Aging Free Agent Trying To Bounce Back From Injury
5 years agoLamar Miller made his first Pro Bowl with the Texans in 2018 and then suffered a season-ending torn ACL in the preseason last fall and missed all of the 2019 campaign. It's not a surprise that the 29-year-old back hasn't latched on with a team amid the COVID-19 pandemic that has restricted teams from administering physicals with their own medical staff. We may not see him sign until later this summer, if at all. But Miller, a fourth-round pick of the Dolphins in 2012, has two 1,000-yard seasons to his name, 5,864 total rushing yards, 32 rushing touchdowns and a 4.3 yard-per-carry average on 1,354 carries over seven seasons. Miller also has 209 career receptions for 1,565 yards and eight TDs. If he's completely healthy, he could easily land on a team this summer in a committee approach that would make him worth considering for depth in deeper leagues.
