Lamar Jackson Will Have More Freedom This Season
2 years agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will have more authority under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken to change plays on the fly. Head coach John Harbaugh also expects the team to go more no-huddle than in the past. Jackson, who agreed to a lucrative five-year extension this offseason, began the 2022-23 campaign by tossing 10 touchdowns in his first three games. However, he struggled throwing after that. Yet, the 26-year-old could thrive in the new system, considering he's completed 70.5% of his attempts in 32 career no-huddle plays. That said, Jackson is happy after finally getting a new deal, and he will have more than enough weapons in his arsenal to keep opposing defenders on their toes, which could do wonders for fantasy managers. But he'll need to stay healthy, something that's been an issue over the years.
