Lamar Jackson Expects To Run Less In 2023
2 years agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson talked quite a bit with the media on Wednesday at organized team activities about throwing more and running less in 2023 in offensive coordinator Todd Monken's new offensive scheme. Monken already hinted at the same thing earlier this offseason, and it makes sense given that Jackson has missed important games down the stretch in each of the last two seasons due to lower-body injuries. The 26-year-old signed a five-year, $260 million contract extension just before this year's NFL draft and will remain in Baltimore for the foreseeable future, where his elite dual-threat playmaking abilities will keep him as a top-five fantasy QB, even if he has fewer designed runs.
