Lakers Have "Strong" Interest In Chris Paul
1 year agoAccording to Jovan Buha of The Athletic, the Los Angeles Lakers are keeping a close eye on Chris Paul's situation in Phoenix and have "strong" interest in him if the veteran star is waived or stretched. Buha adds that Paul could be the Lakers' top target at the point guard position if D'Angelo Russell and/or Dennis Schroder aren't re-signed. Per Buha, the Lakers have also discussed the idea of re-signing Russell and adding Paul in free agency, with Paul being the favorite to be the starting point guard. Paul said earlier in the week that he would like to stay in Phoenix, but he likely wouldn't mind suiting up alongside long-time friend LeBron James.
