5 years agoArizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray benefitted from open receivers deep down the field in his rookie season and also had a very low pressure rate (13.1 percent) on his deep attempts, but it was his own dual-threat ability to use his legs as a rusher that afforded him the chance to excel deep down the field through the air. Defenses were forced to respect his ability to run for first downs, which allowed Murray to sit back and read defenses. He often exited the pocket when connecting deep down the field. Having All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins will only make Murray more successful in what could be a breakout sophomore season.
