6/3:Kyle Stanley shot rounds of 67,66,70 and 70 to get himself to 15-under par for the tournament and into the three-man sudden-death playoff with Bryson DeChambeau and Byeong Hun An at the Memorial. Stanley made a frantic dash towards the finish line on Sunday and birdied holes 14,15,16 and 17, which included a beautiful 29-foot sidewinding putt on the 17th hole that tied him for the lead. On the 18th hole, Stanley had one of the unluckiest breaks you will ever see in golf. After drilling his drive, he somehow managed to clip the edge of a tree, and the ball ricocheted over 45-yards across the fairway and into the thick rough on the left. Stanley was forced to pitch out, and he eventually made bogey on the hole. Luckily for him, DeChambeau made bogey himself, and the two men joined Hun An in the playoff. On the first hole of the sudden-death playoff, Stanley hit another errant tee shot, and this time he was only able to advance it a couple of yards. Hun An and DeChambeau ultimately made par, but unfortunately for Stanley, his second straight bogey at the par-four 18th would eliminate him from contention. --Spencer Aguiar - RotoBaller
