Kyle Seager Drawing Trade Interest
Seattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager is drawing trade interest from multiple teams with the demand for third basemen exceeding the supply, according to major league sources. The 32-year-old Seager would be an option for teams that missed out on Anthony Rendon and Josh Donaldson in free agency and Kris Bryant in a trade. At least five teams -- the Nationals, Braves, Rangers, Dodgers and Twins -- are considering upgrades at the hot corner. Seager has a $15 million club option for 2022 that will convert to a player option if he is traded. The left-handed hitter started late in 2019 because of a hand injury and finished with a .239/.321/.468 slash line, 23 home runs and 63 RBI in 106 games. With better health and in a better environment than the rebuilding M's, Seager could be a nice value pick in fantasy drafts next year.
